Bluegrass from the Garden State!
Bluegrass is clearly at the heart of the group's music. With many other influences such as country, folk, jazz and blues.
It didn't take long for good things to start happening to this band. Not long after they started playing around the tri-state area, String Fever won second place in the New York City Bluegrass band Competition.
They were featured on many network and cable TV stations as well as New York radio when they performed at the grand re-opening of the Great Lawn in Central Park for the Mayor and a park full of music lovers.
Lead singer and guitarist Bruce Jepson was selected and performed as a finalist two years in a row at the prestigious "Chris Austin Songwriting Contest" at "Merlefest" in Wilkesboro, NC.
Bruce has also been invited and performed twice at "The World of Bluegrass" at the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) in Louisville,KY.
